Shardelois, where it comes from.
Shardelois Estate
Shardeloes is a large 18th-century country house located one mile west of Amersham in Buckinghamshire, England . In 1939 Shardeloes Mansion, Amersham, the home of the Tyrwhitt-Drakes, was requisitioned as a maternity hospital over 5000 babies were born there.
Vest Rutrum
Lt.-Cdr. Frederick Edward Hicks-Beach was born on 30 December 1911.1 He was the son of Michael Hicks-Beach, 1st Earl of St Aldwyn, PC, DL ( 23 October 1837 - 30 April 1916, and Helene Des Fosses.1 He married, secondly, Lois Lainhart,
Lt. Cdr. Hicks-Beach was the grandson of Elizabeth Caroline Tyrwhitt-Drake and William Frederick Hicks-Beach. Great-grandson of Thomas Tyrwhitt-Drake.

Present Day
Where Cathy had continued the needlework she had been taught. In 2024, Cathy and Chic Geisinger chose to take Cathy's love of crochet and start a custom crochet work. That she hopes you will love her work as much as she enjoys doing custom pieces.
Shardelois Kennel
Lt-Cdr Hicks-Beach led to the naming of Shardeloes American Cocker Kennel with Lois Washington Lainhart Hicks-Beach. Lois led the creator to needlework and the raising of American Cocker Spaniels until Lois' death.
